Wonderful Stay
Debo comenzar diciendo que soy un “local” Mi esposa y yo residimos en Puerto Rico. No es lo mismo visitar el viejo San Juan, que vivir (aunque sea por unas noches) en el. Hay algo magico en despertar en una comoda cama king y contemplar ventanas y puertas de madera obscura y cristales templados a tu alrededor. Posar los pies en un piso de alternadas losas blancas y negras y caminar a un baño forrado en marmol. Al salir de la habitación estas en un jardin o antiguo pasillo de estilo colonial y en ruta a una gran mesa en madera solida dentro de un salón que exhala antiguedad por sus paredes y techos. Unas jovenes amables te traen en bandeja de plata un balanceado desayuno, que dejara satisfecho al mas exigente de los huespedes. Cafe y jugo de piña a gusto y tranquilidad que invita a cojer con calma el resto del día. Un paso fuera del hotel y ya estas caminando sobre suelos historicos de otra epoca de esta bella isla caribeña. Creo que no deberias vivir una vida entera en Puerto Rico y negarte la oportunidad de despertar en el viejo San Juan. –Reynaldo M San Juan, Perto Rico

Es algo Magico
Hay algo mágico en despertar en una cómoda cama y contemplar ventanas y puertas de madera oscuras, Posar los pies en un piso de alternadas losas blancas y negras y caminar a un baño forrado en mármol. Unas jóvenes amables te traen en bandeja de plata un balanceado desayuno, que dejara satisfecho al mas exigente de los huéspedes. Recomendable. –krisnagerferrer

Me encanta!
El hotel es muy bonito en general, ya que el concepto que se maneja es estilo “boutique”, lo que lo hace único y exclusivo. Al tener un estilo “antiguo” las instalaciones tienen ciertas desventajas, como enjarres desgastados y con humedad, pero no es algo que incomode. La habitación es pequeña pero cuenta con todo lo necesario para una estadía cómoda. Las amenidades son de buena calidad. La atención de la recepción es excelente y son muy amables. El desayuno es de muy buena calidad y basto para iniciar muy bien el dia. Tiene una extraordinaria ubicación, ya que está en el corazón del Viejo San Juan, y por obviedad es 100% seguro transitar las 24 horas del día. Tiene una terraza que ayuda bastante a tener momentos de “relax” en las instalaciones. El precio es un poco elevado pero en general lo vale por la ubicación. Un punto a destacar es que se encuentra en una calle muy estrecha la cual dificulta la entrada de vehículos tanto para entrar como para salir, y hay que caminar una cuadra con maletas para su arribo o salida. Hotel muy bonito, céntrico y con excelente atención
This boutique style hotel is simply lovely!! We stayed here prior to our Southern Caribbean cruise and found it to be delightful. It sits on a quiet street in Old San Juan, but within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants. The rooms are stunning! The public areas charming! The staff was gracious and very helpful. We loved every minute of our stay!

My husband and I finished off our 8 day Puerto Rico island adventure celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary by staying the last 2 nights in Ild San Juan at the Villa Herencia. We knew we didn’t want to simply tour Old San Juan, we wanted to immerse ourselves & get the complete experience so we researched & examined EVERY SINGLE hotel/B&B in Old San Juan for weeks- we couldn’t have found a better place to stay!
A month in advance, we phoned the staff for advice since we would have a rental car for the beginning of our trip to the island (and I am a bit OCD about making sure I know EXACTLY what to expect & to plan).
Not only did they help us tremendously by suggesting to return the rental car PRIOR to coming into Old San Juan then taxiing to the hotel, but they gave us wonderful tips & advice regarding many other aspects of our adventure and arranged taxi service for us at the end of our stay . Once in Old San Juan, we were greeted by the most friendly & helpful staff! The Villa Herencia is the most beautiful, charming, place we have ever stayed! We had an upstairs room and were a bit unsure after reading a review regarding steps & cats- but neither was an issue & so glad we didn’t let that review keep us from staying here!
Our room was perfect and we had the gorgeous rooftop patio to ourselves in the evenings (as there are only a total of 8 rooms in the entire place). Breakfast was just right to get us started each day, we walked to everything and thanks to the staff we experienced our favorite spot….The Passage Of The Princess. You HAVE to take a stroll there at night. If it had not been suggested to us, we would have never even known it was there & it begins right behind the hotel. We are already planning our return trip & will be bringing our family this time. The Villa Herencia is where we will stay & have already recommended it to several friends.
